CAROLYN LINDSEY
Living in Cuervo, New Mexico

Carolyn Lindsey was born in 1960 in Jacksboro, Texas, where she was raised on a ranch. After high school, she went on to complete her Master’s Degree of Art from Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas, graduating in 1985. Following her studies, she taught art and history in the public schools.

In addition to her formal education, Carolyn has attended workshops taught by Kevin Macpherson, Ray Vinella, Dan Gerhartz and Thomas Buechner.

Carolyn is a “plein aire” landscape painter, meaning that she completes her paintings outside, in the “open air”. For her figurative work, she paints only from live models, not photographs.

Among numerous awards, Carolyn has received BEST OF SHOW at the Southwest Regional Oil Painters of America show in 1996, and participated in the 1990 Salmagundi Club exhibition in New York.

Carolyn and her husband, Porky, live and manage a ranch in Cuervo, New Mexico.
