Twisp River Glassworks is a
small, independent glass studio, run by the husband and
wife team of Jeremy Newman and Allison Ciancibelli. Jeremy
has been blowing glass since 1997, learning the skills of
the craft through a traditional apprenticeship with Garth
Mudge at the Glassworks Studio and Gallery in Estes Park,
CO.
Our studio is located in a hay barn on a small farm up the
Twisp River Valley, in Washington State. The quiet pace of
rural life and the surrounding Cascade Mountains combine
into a wonderful setting in which to focus creative energy
and produce original works in glass.
Glass is a medium born from organic elements and fire. It
is this natural aspect of glass that we try to express in
our work. We allow each piece to take on individual
characteristics within the essential form. Incorporating
earth tones and textures that appeal to both the eye and
the touch. Each piece has its own unique statement, as it
is in the natural world. With this philosophy in mind, we
craft everything from one-of-a-kind platters and vessels to
traditional and contemporary bowls and vases.
